General Volunteering

Outside of the vaccination process, general volunteers with the Danbury Coronavirus Volunteer Group are always highly appreciated. We expect to see an increase in need for volunteers as winter continues so please contact us using the email address below if you are interested in volunteering.

Get in touch

If you would like to volunteer, please read all the information on this page and email us

You will be asked to complete a small form to provide contact details, relative skills and experience. For insurance purposes, please also ask a local friend (not a family member) to complete this reference form for you.

There is the opportunity for personal development for volunteers with training courses, we strongly reccoment this short online training course to help you gain skills and confidence to help someone you might encounter during volunteering who may be having challenges:

Volunteering at the Hub

Helping at the hub or around Danbury is vital to the work we do in our village. Whether it's being a helpline volunteer, community helper, or shift volunteer, your support will go a long way!

Young Volunteers

We have formed a small group of young volunteers helping with local community requests.  If you are aged 16-18 years old and would like to get involved, please get in touch.

Local Projects

Want to help out from your own home? Get in touch with us to learn about how sewing face masks or knitting woolly hats can make all the difference in these challenging times.

Please ensure you are familiar with the information in these policies as part of becoming a volunteer.
